January came and went, February is almost done. Here’s a potpourri of updates. Is potpourri a thing anymore?

I’ve been writing my #Dungeon23 project, a mini setting and megadungeon, daily since 12/11/22 and am finally getting into the meat of the project. I’m thinking about writing another Pilgrimage-style solo game using that engine, and I’m writing a few adventures. I’m mostly trying to chill though, and I recommend it.

Zine Month/Zine Quest, a few projects you should check out

  • I’ve written a tutorial mystery for Armanda Haller’s project GRANDMOTHERSHIP. You can learn more and back the project here: link.

  • Cloud Curio will be launching a campaign soon: link.

  • Lo Res Futures looks awesome.

Here’s some fun maps I have drawn lately for various projects in various stages of done-ness.

What I’m reading and listening to and playing

Games

  • I’m running a play by post Nate Treme adventure from Haunted Almanac using Mausritter. Tunnel Goons adventures work great with Mausritter, we’re doing DS divided by 3 as the HD level. (Thanks Xenio)

  • I’m still in the endless Michael Raston Empyrean Dynasty game, so much betrayal and intrigue.

  • Dungeon Crawl Classics - I’m in a weekly one hour game that is sheer delight, a very lighthearted romp.

  • Still running my homebrew Spelljammer-ish home game, and…

  • I’ve managed not to kill my poor Blades in the Dark character in Gina’s game.

  • …and another Empyrean Dynasty game that Symbolic City is running where everything is Resonating Crystals and television ghosts.

Books

  • I finished and loved Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir, highly recommend it, my heart: broken and also full.

  • The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood is very much a first novel but I think it has some neat ideas about the perilous relationship between deity and worshipper. However, I liked how Ann Leckie handled similar material in The Raven Tower better. I look forward to what A.K. writes next.

Music

The Sanremo Music Festival just happened. Here’s a song that didn’t win by Elodie that’s fun and midtempo.

This song is always in my heart.

Have a good month.
